The Arora Group Telemetry Technician in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina
The Arora Group, Inc. (AGI) has an immediate openings for a Telemetry Technician to join its team in the Multi-Service Ward at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, near Jacksonville, NC. Our Telemetry Techs provide medical care to Active Duty military members, their family members and retirees and normally work six 12.5 hour shifts (which includes a 30 minute uncompensated meal break) and one 8.5 hour shift (which includes a 30 minute uncompensated meal break) per 2-week period. The Telemetry Technicians shall be on duty in the department for about 40 hours each week, except during periods of approved leave or for holidays. In no instance will an individual Telemetry Tech be required to provide services (on-site service plus approved leave and holidays) in excess of 80 hours per 2-week period. Twelve-hour shifts work either 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., or 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
DUTIES OF THE TELEMETRY TECHNICIANS: The Telemetry Technicians in the Multi-Service Ward are responsible for rendering highly specialized Cardiovascular, Cardiac, and Post Anesthesia care to the pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations. Duties shall be performed in the Multi-Service Ward, which consists of up to 22 telemetry beds, and telemetry techs are responsible for monitoring telemetry patients from internal medicine, pediatrics, surgical, ENT, Family Practice, and Orthopedics specialties, and monitoring the continuous pulse oximetry of these patients. The average census for the Multi-Service Ward telemetry monitoring technician is 6-8 and the average number of admissions per month is 120-200.
Identify life threatening dysrhythmias and take immediate and appropriate action.
Prepare patient and exam rooms prior to patient’s arrival.
Transport patients to other clinical areas as needed.
Maintain exam room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of exam rooms, to include dusting, cleaning wash basins, etc.
Have successfully completed a Telemetry Technician course accredited by one the following bodies: the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools; or have successfully completed a formal military program that trains medical technicians.Have minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the last 3 years in a setting corresponding to the requirements of the task order.
